This is the reason why you are invited on December 18th at 1 pm in Public Room to finish the year with "Awakening" and models to wake you up and show you the beauty in this world. Different but perfect in their own way.
The campaign started with Ance Tufekcieva, mother of a girl with Down syndrome, founder and member of the Association "Faith" from Strumica and Daniela Mirceska, mother of a child with a rare disease. Irena Mila, Elena Fidanovska, Teana Cardula - photographers and activists, illustrator Verica Piperevska and sociologist Ivana Hadzievska are the ladies who voluntarily started the campaign "Awakening". Aleksandar Matovski – Cako is the model who will open the exhibition and Sara Milenkovska will take care of the dance music.
At the event the collection of poems "The world is thirsty for a word" by Toni Popov will be on sale, and Uniqa insurance and our model Lisa have prepared a surprise. Funds from the book sale will be donated to charity.
The traditional exhibition of small format prints of the Faculty of Fine arts - Skopje dating back 90 years in time when our teachers were students, is opening on December 17th at 12 pm in Suli An.
The exhibition is organized by the Student Organization of the Faculty of Fine arts - Skopje initiated by the students of the department of graphic arts. The show presents 100 prints of 44 students.
The exhibition is selling, price of one print is 500 denars, aming to affirm graphics through student thought and creation. All finances will go towards the purchase of materials for the students of graphic arts.
The program is enriched with a lecture of professors from the faculty and demonstration of graphic print. Design of the poster is by Tomislav Akimovski, and the brochure design: Kristian Jovanovski.
The Osten Biennial of Drawing Skopje 2016 will mark a full circle with the central event - an exhibition and an award ceremony - on December 22nd at Cifte Amam, starting at 8 pm. At the event will be present some of the arriving awarded artists from countries like Japan, France, Israel, Lithuania, Greece, Serbia, and works by 270 authors who have been selected by the international jury to enter the Catalog shall be exhibited. The promotion of the Catalog will be the highlight of the evening.
Adjoining activities include: promotion of the publication “German Artists from the OSTEN Collection” + mini exhibition of German artists at the Goethe Institute (complex MI-DA) on December 15th at 12 pm; on December 21st at 12 pm a promotion of the publication “British artists from the OSTEN collection” + mini exhibition of British artists at BRITISH Council Macedonia (University Library); December 22nd at 12 pm there will be authorization and promotion of the print portfolios of Camelia OTERO and Rosica LAZESKA (right behind police station BEKO);
on December 23rd at 12 pm is the opening of the exhibition of Polish artists at OSTEN Gallery (Maksim Gorki 16).
At this year's Biennial of Drawing submissions have arrived from 690 authors from 66 countries of the world and 2240 works.

An exhibition of works by Igor Josifov, highlighting the artist’s fire practice from over a decade exploring the movement, reflection and possibilities that fire gives in order to transform, is opening on December 14th at 8 pm at the Youth Cultural Center (MKC). Josifov will present works on paper, linen, installations, films that celebrates the creative process. 'Continuum' is the inspiration for his recent ongoing multimedia project 'Untie'. The exhibition represents the artist's inspirations and will premier new works that were born as result of 'Continuum'. Film Screenings will follow up after the reception at 9.30 pm - movie theater Frosina.
