Macedonian Opera and Ballet since the beginning of this season, in the renovated salon and MOB Lobby continues the beautiful practice for performances of local and guest soloists with recitals and concerts. On Friday, October 28th in the lobby of MOB a concert titled “VIVE LA FRANCE!” will be held with The Pearls of the French opera treasury. The concert will feature leaders of the Macedonian Opera and Ballet: Vesna Ginovska-Ilkova-soprano, baritone Boris Trajanov and Gjorgi Cuckovski-tenor.
They will be accompanied by the orchestra of the Macedonian Opera and Ballet. Concert master is Kliment Todorovski, director Dejan Proshev and conductor - Bisera Chadlovska.
Another premiere in MOB is happening on October 25th at 8pm. The great story about the victory of youth and love Gioachino Rossini’s opera “The Barber of Seville” is directed by Ursula Horner (Austria). Conductor is Gianluca Martinenghi (Italy). The next performance is on October 27th at 8 pm.
The story is set in Seville. Rosina is a young girl who is in love with Count Almaviva. The young and handsome Count sings daily under Rosina’s window in hope to get close to her. But Rosina is watched over by old Dr. Bartolo, who wants to marry her and does not let you out of the house. Figaro, Bartolo’s personal barber, helps Rosina and Almaviva get to know each other, representing Almaviva as a singing teacher. While Figaro shaves Bartolo, Rosina and Almaviva agree on their future. To Figaro helps Rosina and Almaviva fulfill their love oath and brings a registrar and witnesses. At the moment the wedding takes place, the old Bartoli must accept the victory of youth and love.

The Macedonian Opera and Ballet on October 22nd starting at 8 pm, at the Army Hall will hold a concert with the Italian guest clarinet player Giampiero Sobrino. Guest of the concert is Macedonian opera singer Slavica Galic Petrovska. The audience will have an opportunity to enjoy an interesting program, consisted of classical works by Gaetano Donizetti and Mozart: D. Donizetti - "Concertino b flat major" - for clarinet and orchestra, C. A. Mozart - Motet "Exsultate" performing Slavica Galic Petrovska, J.. Verdi / L. Bass - "Fantasia da Rigolleto" - for clarinet and orchestra, C. A. Mozart - La Clemenca di Tito - aria "Parto, Parto ....", performing Slavica Galic Petrovska and Giampiero Sobrino (Italy). They will be accompanied by the orchestra of the Macedonian Opera and Ballet. Concert Master is Verica Lambevska, directed by Dejan Proshev and conductor: Bisera Chadlovska.
This Wednesday, October 12 and Thursday, October 13, the Macedonian Opera and Ballet is organizing "Grand Gala". Visitors will be able to enjoy the spectacular program and renovated auditorium at the Salon of MOB. The Salon of MOB is renovated after 33 years from the opening of MOB in 1983. The new auditorium in the Macedonian opera and ballet will have reduced number of seats and for comfortable monitoring of events before each seat will have screens, with subtitle track of the shows and other dedicated functions. For the opening ceremony, MOB prepared an exclusive program.
The audience will have the opportunity to enjoy the performances of: Fortuna Imperatrix Mundi (from Carmina Burana), Hello (Adele), No one is Alone (from Into the woods), Dance of sabers (from Aram Hachaturian), The Fifth Element (movie The Fifth Element), Libertango (from Astor Piazzolla), Tango (from Duke Bojadziev, the film To the Hilt), A Thousand Years (K.Perry), Frozen Choir Suite, Frozen Highlights, Hallelujah (from G.F.Hendl), Ameno (Enigma), Adiamus (from the movie Avatar).
On stage there will be a number of performers, soloists, children's choir, the choir and orchestra of the Opera and Ballet. Conductor is Ivan Eminovikj, director Trajko Jordanovski, designer Zoran Toshevski, costume designer Mary Pupuchevska, concert master Verica Lambevska and choir master is Gjurgjica Dasic.
