rsz saatkThe area surrounding the clocktower is worth a wander, if you like old streets and houses, especially ones which haven't been spruced up for the is very much a residential area, with no real sights but lots of character and atmosphere.

mustafa pasha mosque in skopje 1The structure stands on a plateau above the old bazaar, built in 1492 by one Mustafa Pasha, vizier on the court of Sultan Selim I. The mosque is largely intact from its original state, and no additions have been made through the years.
