The "Otelo" performance is based on the famous Shakespeare Tragedy, which for three centuries has been an inspiration for artists since it deals with eternal human topics - feeling of passion, fear, jealousy ... and the universality of these feelings makes it easy They are transferring nowadays, so that, like other Shakespeare's works, they provoke catharsis in the creative expression of modern art.

In Pocket Cinema of Youth Cultural Center today and tomorrow, 22 and 23rd of May there will be a theater performance "And then What " by female theater director Dragana Gunin, which tells a story of the victims of terrorist attacks and wars, specifically the war in Syria.

As locations for processing the topic there are cities in which there have been an attack: Paris, Berlin, Ankara, Brussels, Istanbul, Nice and Damascus.

The play is entirely voluntary and no budget, processes deep human subject, the prematurely broken lives of the innocent victims of the frequent terrorist attacks that happen worldwide. This performance is in some way a memorial for all the victims that in the news/media are represented by a number, and in "And then What?" they are stories without end, which still someone decided to terminate.

The cast includes actors: Bojan Lazarov, Janka Lefkova, Nina Maximova, Marjan Naumov, Darko Ristovski, Blagojco Stojanov  and Emine Hhalil.

On Saturday and Sunday starting from 17:30 the performance “A Letter toAnyone” will be performed  in Kino Kultura.

The performance is based on the stories of the Dutch author Toon Tellegen, and contains video materials from the creative workshop “Video Letters” that Buden Teatar conducted simultaneously with the refugee children who are situated at T.C.Tabanovce, and the children from the primary school “Koco Racin”. On the following link, you can view a video taken during some of the workshops we conducted with the children.

This project was a step towards surpassing the isolation in which the refugee children live by finding a creative way to connect them with the Macedonian children and to help them in developing their friendships despite the impossibility for direct meetings.

The project also fought the negative stereotypes about refugees, which unfortunately are evident in Macedonian children due to media misrepresentation of the refugees.
