Monty Python’s "Spamalot", the musical comedy based on the movie "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" and one of the most popular Broadway musicals ever, for the first time will be exclusively performed in front of the Macedonian audience, within the Taksirat Festival with three performances, on November 27th, 28th and 29th at 8 pm in the Macedonian opera and ballet.

The musical comes to Skopje with an impressive acting and dance team - Serbian acting legend Nikola Kojo after 20 years returns to the theatre stage in the character of King Arthur, alongside brilliant Nikola Gjurichko, Srdjan Timarov, Gordan Kicic, Dejan Lutkikj, Miroljub Turajlija, Ivan Markovic and glorious Jelena Jovicic who recently with the lead role in the musical "Mamma Mia" enchanted the Macedonian audience. Director of this musical is Radoslav - Rale Milenkovic.

The original Broadway production from 2005 immediately won the “Tony” award for Best musical, and two more "Tony" awards, Sara Ramirez for the role of the Lady of the Lake and Michael Nichols for best director of a musical. "Spamalot" was nominated for a total of 14 "Tony" awards. In nearly five years of theater life on Broadway, the play has been performed more than 1,500 times, and seen by more than 2 million people in 25 countries.

The musical is full of traditional British humor and in the recognizable Pyton manner distorts reality in a hilarious and sarcastic way making it impossible to stay indifferent. After Broadway, the musical was extremely successful in the UK, Germany, Spain, Sweden, Czech Republic, France, Hungary, Belgium, Canada, Mexico, the Netherlands, Japan, South Korea ... Last year it premiered with great success in Belgrade, and as part of Taksirat festival it finally plays in Skopje.
