Jelena Srma Crafts

Jelena  Spasovski is a young lady that nurtures the Macedonian culture by creating pictures using one of the oldest techniques – filigree with silk thread. Her creations reflect motifs of our tradition, nature, but she also creates handcrafts by order. You can review her work on her FB profile or contact her personally.

The Butterfly is Macedonian traditional brooch that used to be worn by women in the beginning of the XIX century. It symbolizes what life should be like – joyful, grateful, wonderful. The butterfly, as well as the other crafts, is created using the traditional technique – filigree, with silk thread – srma on a plush base in a wooden frame.

Silk thread Chick is a peace of jewelry, usually a brooch worn only by brides at the beginning of the XX century.
