50th edition of “May Opera Evenings”

The International Opera Festival “May Opera Evenings” will start on May 9 and will last until May 31. 50th edition of this renowned festival, some of the most beautiful opera performances will be performed, as well as two ballet performances, with performances by renowned domestic and world directors, conductors, choreographers, opera and ballet soloists. During the festival, the monograph “50 years of May Opera Evenings” by Dr. Aleksandar Trajkovski will be promoted.

This year, the 50th “May Opera Evenings” will officially open with the premiere of one of the leading white-canto operas in the world opera literature, the opera “Norma” by Vincenzo Bellini on May 9 at 20:00. under the baton of the guest from Italy, Enrico Dovico, directed by Renato Bonayuto (Italy), set designer and costume designer: Flavio Arbeti (Italy), costume co-author: Marija Pupuchevska, concert master: Verica Lambevska, choir master: Yes , Jasmina Gjorgjeska.

“Lucia of Lammermoor” by the great Italian composer Gaetano Donizetti will be performed on May 18.

One of the pearls of ballet art, the two-act romantic ballet “Giselle” by Adolf Adam, will be performed on May 21.

Giacomo Puccini’s opera “Turandot” will be performed on May 26.

The 50th “May Opera Evenings” with the magnificent “Aida” by Giuseppe Verdi will traditionally close on May 31.
