Renaud Garcia Fons with a concert at Philharmonic

Top class French upright-bass player and composer Renaud Garcia Fons will perform as a soloist with the Philharmonic Orchestra on Thursday at 8pm. This exceptional bass player will present himself to his Macedonian audience with his own compositions. Suites 1 and 2 of Maurice Ravel’s Ballet “Daphne and Chloe” are also on the program. With the Philharmonic Orchestra will be conduct Jian Emin.
After working in top French symphony orchestras, Renaud Garcia Fons decided in the 1990s for a solo career. He has developed his own musical language and style that authentically empowers the instrument he plays. Jones’ contrabass sounds like a Spanish guitar, an African bass lute, a violin or a Persian violin. It is a superb instrumentalist of Catalan origin, and from there his interest in Spanish and Oriental culture originated.
